The GM1 is Panasonic's completely revised entry level m4/3 body, designed to be pocketable. 

  • Sensor: 16mp Live MOS (CMOS) Panasonic made sensor, no AA filter, 17.3 x 13mm (2x crop)
  • Mount: Micro 4/3 (m4/3)
  • Images: 4592 x 3448 JPEG or 12-bit raw maximum, 5 fps max without continuous AF, 4 with (40 fps with electronic shutter), 7 image buffer with raw 
  • Video:  1080P/30/24, 1080i/60/50, 720P/60/5030/25, 480P/30, AVCHD video files or Motion JPEG with stereo Dolby Digital audio (Note that PAL area and NTSC area customers get only the options that make sense for their country)
  • Shutter: mechanical 60 sec to 1/16,000 sec, bulb max 120 seconds (1/30 to 1/16000 second for video)
  • Exposure: multi, center-weighted, spot metering, -3 to +3EV exposure compensation, 3-7 frame exposure bracketing, 5 white balance settings (plus Auto and Custom), ISO 125-25600, AUTO ISO, real-time histogram
  • Focus: 23 point contrast detect, single point, multi-area, face detect, tracking, manual focus override, focus peaking, focus down to -4 EV
  • Display: 3" 1.04m dot fixed touchscreen LCD
  • Flash: pop-up flash included (4m ISO 100 GN), 1/50 flash sync, red-eye reduction, slow sync, rear sync
  • Remote: optional DMW-RSL1
  • Other Notable Features: level, four Fn buttons (two on display), WiFi, NFC, panorama mode, silent mode, interval shooting, optional grip
  • Cards: SD, SDHC, SDXC
  • Battery:  230 shots CIPA
