As part of making sense of my sprawling Web presence, I’ve now launched a second site, dedicated to the so-called mirrorless cameras that have come to supplement the larger DSLRs I've been writing about for many years. One of the things that was happening on my old site was that it was trying to do too much in one place. That was also holding back a significant site-redevelopment project, too, as adding more compact and mirrorless camera information to an already huge site was resulting in more structural things needing to be done faster than I could do them.
No longer. Sansmirror is my announcement that I’m splitting the byThom Web site into more manageable chuncks. You’ll find that I’ve already moved some of my previous items off bythom.com and onto this site, as appropriate, plus I’ve added some more. As I've moved items, I've done some rewriting of them, too, to make them current. Right now we’ve got sections news and commentary, basic articles about mirrorless cameras, sections on cameras, lenses, and accessories, as well as a small gallery of images from mirrorless cameras.
As you may note, the blog already has entries in it: I’ve been keeping parallel sites going behind the scenes for awhile now, so when I posted something on bythom.com that was eventually destined for this site, I co-posted it here. Today you’re finally able to see all that work.
I hope you enjoy this new site, and let me know how I’m doing from time to time.
