Thom's Commentary: We really expected more out of this lens given the earlier S-line primes that had appeared. The corners are the weak point. Given how good the 24-xx zooms are, we really wanted a bit more out of this prime, particularly in the f/1.8 to f/4 aperture range. That said, most won’t find any significant issues with the lens. My condition on recommending it is mostly that you understand and are fine with the corner situation (read the full review for more).
