The GX8 is Panasonic's latest iteration of the rangefinder style camera.

  • Shutter: mechanical 60 sec to 1/8,000 sec (electronic to 1/16,000), bulb max 120 seconds (1/25 to 1/8000 second for video)
  • Exposure: multi, center-weighted, spot metering, -3 to +3EV exposure compensation, 3-7 frame exposure bracketing, 5 white balance settings (plus Auto and Custom), ISO 200-25600 (100 value also possible), AUTO ISO, real-time histogram
  • Focus: 49 point contrast detect using DFD, single point, multi-area, face detect, tracking, manual focus override, focus peaking, focus down to -4 EV
  • Display: 3" 1.04m dot swivel touchscreen OLED LCD, 90° tiltable 2.36m dot EVF with 1.54x magnification with ?mm eye point and -4 to +3 diopter adjustment
  • Flash: optional flash, hot shoe, 1/250 flash sync, red-eye reduction, slow sync, rear sync
  • Remote: optional DMW-RSL1
