Thom's Mini-review: While this lens is sharp, I just don't find a place for it in my usage. Yes, it's a little smaller than the 10-30mm kit lens, but it also doesn't have VR and the focal range is fairly small and "very normal" biased. It appears that Nikon created this lens mostly to give themselves a lower cost option in bundling with cameras like the S1. No need to purchase one as an accessory.
