Richard Franiec has come up with a custom add-on grip (CG-V1) for the Nikon V1 model. The grip is machined from aluminum alloy and attaches to the camera with a high bond transfer tape, like his other grips. The new grip even incorporates an etched "1" where it covers the painted "1" on the camera body. The grip can be ordered now, and will be shipped in late March for US$35 (plus shipping).
I use Franiec's grips on several of my cameras, including my J1. They are nicely designed and useful.
